The film’s title is either brilliant or risible depending on your love of puns. It arrives on our screens when not only Dunkirk, but the ideological quagmire that is Brexit is being widely discussed. ![]() ![]() I haven’t seen Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk yet, but I would be surprised if Land of Mine wasn’t my pick of the summer. The mystery is, why has this film, first seen at London Film Festival in October 2015 and Denmark’s Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film, not been released in the UK until now? The answer may be something to do with the current spate of Second World War films on UK cinema screens. ![]() Rasmussen leads his group across the sands ![]()
